Mounjaro (ozempic etc) and pancreatitis

Hi, I've been reading on lots of different mounjaro/ozempic forums the last few weeks and have come across scores of people being prescribed mounjaro even though they have had pancreatitis.

I'm a type 2 diabetic and have high blood pressure. I need to lose 4 stone but my GP has refused to prescribe me because I had pancreatitis 15 years ago.

Guess what I'm asking is if anyone has had pancreatitis but their GP has prescribed them mounjaro ( or ozempic etc ) .How did you manage to persuade your GP to give it a go?

I went via Asda online doctors. They prescribe if you’ve had a non weight related incidence of pancreatitis several years ago. They requested extra info from me but then prescribed ( I had pancreatitis 8 years ago from a migrated gallstone) and have since had my gallbladder removed.

OneForTheRoadThen, Thank You for that information. May I ask if you've been ok taking it, no pancreas pain/twinges at all?

Hi, yes no problems at all. I’ve only be taking it for 5 weeks though! I was completely honest with the doctor and they were happy to prescribe so I’d def try Asda.

I had pancreatitis about 10 years ago when I still had my gallbladder. I was prescribed Mounjaro by Zava. No pancreatic problems.
