No photos required. Dodgy?

Just ordered wegovy and was expecting to be asked to send photos etc. I am overweight so that wouldn’t have been a problem. But I wasn’t asked and the order has apparently been dispatched. Is this dodgy? Thought new regs meant photos etc were necessary? Panicking a bit. The website I ordered from is mainstream , ie comes up in top 5 providers . Thanks

That is a bit surprising. Are you sure it was the legitimate website of that prescriber, and which one was it?

To be honest I have never heard of them. They are registered with the GPhC and seem legitimate from that point of view. They haven’t been inspected since 2022 and I think they would be likely to be required to improve their processes if they can’t show that they’ve done even a tiny bit of an attempt at due diligence to independently verify the information you’ve provided.

It all seems legit. Delivery by DPD. Just surprised, and don’t want to inject myself with something dodgy. Not sure how I would tell?

I doubt it will be dodgy as in a counterfeit product. Their checks and systems don’t seem to me to comply with the recent additional guidance to pharmacies that was issued in Feb this year. So potentially unsafe prescribing decisions could be made.

Well it arrived via DPD and looked entirely as it should. I have taken wegovy before (last year) so know what to look out for. It is fine🤷‍♀️
