Disappointed with first week of mounjaro

I had my first 2.5mg injection of mounjaro 3 days ago. I don’t have side effects but my appetite isn’t very suppressed. I do feel a little less hungry and have cut my calories a lot but it’s quite a lot of effort. I think reading all the positive stories on here I got my hopes up thinking I’d just not feel hungry at all straight away. I know it’s only been 3 days but I expected a lot more appetite suppression. Anyone else experiencing this? Does it get better when you go up to 5mg?

Of course you aren't going to get immediate effects on the drug. Very few people genuinely do. For me I got a placebo effect straight away but I know it was placebo because once the genuine suppression kicked in it was very noticeable. When I felt full in the first few days it was because I was hyper aware of feeling full and didn't push past that feeling like I usually would to finish my meal. A small number of people are super responders and they lose lots of weight on low doses but that's RARE.

Give it time. Loads of people out there who didn't feel effects straight away, including me. A year on and I've lost 20% of my body weight. There's no rush.
