I'm overweight just over 13st 5ft 3
Been on 1300 cal for 8 weeks only lost 4lb. I do 10000 steps minimum a day. Rarely sit down and always on the go.

I have varicose veins which I'm struggling with doing any extra exercise. And perimenopausal .
Likely periphial arterial disease too she's referred me to cardiovascular?
I would like the wli however I simply cannot afford it.

Thanks for explaining @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden

Apologies, went a bit on the defensive there for no reason 😂

I can understand tbh and it probably was my poor choice of words! So many people assume people who are obese are stupid/don't understand food/ literally living on takeaways (again id also resent that implication it just wasn't what I meant!) when it's so not usually the case... Obesity is complex and prejudice and stigma is high. I really found it it so helpful listening to Dr Chris Van Tulleken when he talks about obesity he talks so respectfully about people "living with obesity" rather than "are obese" and doesn't blame. He talks a lot about the society factors and food environment that can lead to it though. But his attitude towards people made me realise just how pervasive it is for people to look down on people who are obese even just in the language we use never mind the blame.

We know very very few people ever successfully lose a lot of weight and keep it off yet people are blamed for being unable to do the near impossible....
