How low can your bmi be before being prescribed maintenance?

I’ve only just started mounjaro (so very optimistically looking ahead lol!) I got my first month’s supply from Asda with a bmi of 30. I may be under 30 after the first month but I want to get into the healthy weight range, not be overweight, so bmi of 22 ish ideally. When do you get prescribed the maintenance dose? Can you choose when you start it provided your bmi is above 19? Or do most providers have a set bmi where they’ll no longer prescribe it? Anyone know about the rules with Asda?

There should be information in your emails from Asda about maintenance and the BMIs they’ll support, I’ve seen other people post about it recently.

The monj.co.uk website has a list of providers who have previously mentioned their maintenance policies and BMI ranges. Some pharmacies won’t take you on if your BMI is below 22 or 23 type range, but some will I think.

My BMI dropped below 22 so my prescriber stopped my maintenance dose.

It depends on your suppliers rules, they are all a bit different. I moved to Oushk as they support maintenance down to BMI 19 and don’t have any time limits and you can choose how you want maintenance to work, some stay on the same dose, some go down, personally I’m working my way back down, but intend to do it slowly and may stay on the lowest dose for quite some time to allow my body to fully adjust to my new weight.
