Sat in all day yesterday to get my delivery of MJ and apparently I didn't answer the door.

I have 2 dogs who go ballistic if anyone even enters the front garden so I really don't believe they tried! No red card through door either.

Its really warm today and Sunday so wont come till atleast tomorrow and I have to go out! So may miss it again

If you go on drugs.com it says it’s fine unrefrigerated for up to 21 days, as long as it doesn’t exceed 30 degrees, or it may lose efficacy.
How warm was it where you live? It was only 21degrees here.

Royal Mail has delivered to me on a Sunday so it may arrive today.
when was it sent?

That is after first use, It has to be kept between 2-8 degrees before use.

This is incorrect (probably US instructions as their pens have different preservatives and storage instructions), always make sure you are looking at the UK Kwikpen when looking at generic sites (preferably look at the Eli Lilly site for correct instructions) to ensure you are following correct advice for UK Kwikpens.

@Mj4me The clear storage instructions that come with the UK medication should be followed and if unsure discuss with your provider.

If you pen was dispatched on Friday it "should" keep cool in decent packaging for up to 48hrs. So the 30 day countdown starts Sunday. Don't know what the weather has been like where you are, that should also be taken into consideration though unlikely it will get over 30 degrees I think.

Your provider is responsible for getting the medication to you in the correct condition. If there is a RM issue that is not your fault your provider should replace the pen and take it up with RM.

Agree with what @WeAllHaveWings has said above. Do not let your provider fob you off with the 30 day rule. If it was dispatched over 48hrs ago insist on them sending a new pen especially with the warm weather.

Have you got the tracking number? You can chose different delivery options.

It takes me 15 mins to get to the post office so I'm not going to get it tonight. And I will be waiting all day again tomorrow.

This is bloody ridiculous

I received a pen from Oushk. It was not cool at all and they refused to replace it, I was so cross. I got two jabs out of it as I didn’t want to go over the 30 days. Back with Lloyds now as their pens had two freezer packs with the sheep’s wool. Oushk just said the sheepswool would keep it cool enough but it was room temperature when I received it. These jabs are too expensive to simply throw away.

When did they actually dispatch the pen? The ice packs and sheeps wool only guarantee the cool temp up to 48hrs. Any longer than that and they need to replace your pen. I hope you get it sorted

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 16/06/2025 19:45

A few months ago pharmacy2u replaced my warm pen but I had to send it back before I could get a replacement issued. They were pretty good dealing with it but took a few days to get an outcome from them. I know other suppliers haven’t been so accommodating.

@Mj4me With it being well over 48hrs and with the temps we are having there’s no guarantee it hasn’t gone above 30* now either. I’d definitely be requesting a new pen.
