Restarted mounjaro after 3 month break

Has anyone taken a break from mounjaro and restarted following a break?

I started in August 2024 and was on 7.5mg in February 2025 but had to stop taking it due to planned surgery (not weight related) and restarted on 2.5mg 3 weeks ago.

When I first took mounjaro, I felt the suppression quickly at all doses, which did reduce as time went on. However, this time round, I'm not experiencing the same suppression as when I first took it. Has anyone else experienced the same?

I'm worried I'll need to take higher doses in the future. When I went up to 7.5mg previously I suffered quite bad side effects and even vomited, which I don't want to happen again. Ideally I'd like to stay on as low a dose as possible where I feel the benefits, without the side effects.

Yes. I had a break of a couple of months due to illness and a hospital stay. I was previously on 10mg and had experienced good suppression from my first injection. I’ve just now had my 5th dose of 2.5 after restarting and I’ve definitely not felt its effects so much, so far this time.
I’m looking forward to my first 5mg dose this week and hope it starts working better for me than 2.5 has.

Yes very similar occurrence for me too. Suppression didn’t seem to kick in until a few weeks of 5mg whereas before the first dose of 2.5mg was insanely effective.
Will be coming off it again soon as I want another child, so need a few months clear. However, it’s slow losses this time around like 0.3lbs per week. Although I do only have 12 lbs to go until my goal.

Same here, had a few months off and back on 5mg now which doesn’t seem to be suppressing at all. I went up to 10mg before Christmas and that was too strong and I had to go back to 7.5mg.
I lost 3 stones in 6 months previously and I’ve only lost about a pound a week since I restarted.

Thanks for sharing your experiences, it definitely seems I'm not the only one. Looks like I'll be going straight up to 5mg when I next order.
