I normally jab myself early on Saturday morning but this week I’m stepping up from 2.5mg to 5mg. I’m going to a big event on Saturday and really don’t want to feel sick or strange but in my experience so far, side effects don’t kick in until the day after. Do you think it’s still safe to inject early Saturday morning, taking into account I’m going up a dose? Or should I wait till Sunday once the event is safely over?

Just wait until the Sunday.

No problem with delaying the dose until Saturday after the event or the following morning.

2.5 to 5mg is the biggest jump in absolute terms and the one that many people find worst (it absolutely kicked my arse). Wait until Sunday.

Ok, thanks! My concern was that by Saturday the effects of 2.5mg have almost worn off and I didn’t want to fall face first into the buffet. But I’ll wait till Saturday night just in case I feel gross.

You could do half the dose on sat morning and the other half on Tuesday

Do it in the evening instead. Try not to overdo the buffet though, as I made that mistake going up to 5. I ate too much the night before and really paid for it the next couple of days. Had the sulphur burps Blush

I considered that but dose splitting doesn’t seem to be recommended so it’s probably best I avoid it.

On Saturday the levels of medication will be the highest they've ever been because they build cumulatively week by week.

I’ve seen this said a lot.

my brain can’t compute why that’s worse than 0 to 2.5mg though?!

Because at 0mg there is no drug in your system.

When you titrate to 5mg there is the cumulative amount of drug in your system from four or more doses of 2.5mg, plus 100% as much again with the new dosage.

You can put it into a GLP1 plotter like Shotsy if you want to visualise it.
