Hi has anyone found the best time of day to take Moujaro to avoid side effects. I'm gonna take my 1st one tomorrow and really worried about vomiting or feeling like I'm going to.

You won't know until you start as everyone is different.

I took my first injection in the evening before a day when I had nothing planned, so that if I was ill, I wouldn't have any commitments. As it turned out, I was fine.

RedDeer · 12/06/2025 19:29

I took my first one at night incase I was ill. and could sleep it off ( I was fine) I've now changed to the morning, with my other medications. Still no big side effects 5 weeks in.

wobblybrain · 12/06/2025 19:31

I took mine in the morning as I do with all new medications in case of a reaction.

I don’t think it matters what time of day, but for me it did matter what was in my stomach!

To prevent D&V I learned to not eat anything rich or greasy or heavy for 24 hours before or after. Really light, clean foods for those days helped enormously.

stopringingme · 12/06/2025 19:31

Side effects, if you get them, can arrive at anytime, if I get any it is usually around 48hours after injecting, but i have also had some after 5 days so you cannot really plan for them.

Just make sure you are eating really well, avoid spicy, greasy or fatty foods and drink loads of water at least 2 litres a day but try for more if possible @mstifi

There are loads of threads with advice and there will be a June starters one where everyone starting will support each other.

I do mine in the morning after breakfast. The only side effect I’ve had so far is constipation. I’m going to be taking my 4th 2.5mg jab tomorrow.

PearlsPearl · 13/06/2025 07:40

I took my first two at 6pm but felt really nauseous after the second one, so now I take it at 9pm just before bed. I figure I'm sleeping off any sickly feelings then.

I don't get any side effects except constipation.

threeeggsontoast · 13/06/2025 08:44

I usually take mine in the morning and the day before I make sure to eat ‘clean’ e.g nothing too heavy or processed. I normally get a bit of a nauseous feeling the day after but it’s not severe and a glug of Pepto bismol and eating something small (like a cracker) usually shifts it. I struggle with constipation too and so far have been treating it reactively but I’ve learned I need to take some psyllium husk or other natural supplement every day just to keep things on track.

If it helps, I worried a lot before taking my first jab but I was totally fine. I think most people are, bar a few minimal side effects.
