Mounjaro and throat pressure

I started on Mounjaro in March. From the 1st jab I had pressure on my throat, carried on, didn’t go away.
had detailed scan of my throat including thyroid, all fine.
Went on holiday and got very poorly after moving up to 5mg, stopped injections.
i want to recommence on 2.5mg as I lost weight in this amount but I’m scared to as still have throat pressure, and am aware of possible links with thyroid cancer, inspite of having a clear scan.
Had anyone else had this??!!

Why go back to something that worries you. If it was me I’d come off it. You’ve already acknowledged it’s making you poorly.

I get an unpleasant feeling like I have something stuck in my throat. I understand that it is most likely silent reflux/indigestion related. Prescriber recommended omeperozole which I have been taking and it is slowly improving. Reflux/heartburn is very strong in my family and I definitely prone to it. I have lowered my dose to 1.67g to try and ease it. But to be honest the lower dose is fine for me in terms of suppression. You could try a lower dose to ease into it more, if it doesn’t give you quite the suppression you are after you could use it every 5 days as that is the half life. Have a look at Dr Kevin Joseph and microdosing. I’m not a medic or anything, this is just my experience and what works better for me.

Thank you for that
