Still feeling 🤮 after starting on Tuesday (MJ)…do I need to expect the same after second dose?!

Started Tuesday evening. Felt awful on Wednesday, particularly in the evening. Banging headache, nausea, hyper sense of smell. A cross between morning sickness and Covid feeling (am/have neither). Really exhausted but with insomnia too.

it’s gradually beginning to ease a bit now but the thought of doing this again next week fills me with dread (I think I’m a bit triggered by the morning sickness type feeling as I suffered badly through both pregnancies - guess my body is super sensitive to things and hormone changes).

should i expect the same again next week? Or does it tend to improve with each dose?

the appetite suppression has been incredible - but only because I feel sick as the proverbial dog.

For many people as you body gets used to the medication the side effects lessen. You may find the next injection much easier.

I’m sorry to day I found the second dose of each new amount the worst.

Are you eating and drink enough (3 l of water)? Also make sure you get enough salt.

Where on your body did you do the jab? If you did stomach, try your thigh.

(Heaven knows how it makes a difference, but people report that it does and the one time I injected in my stomach I had a horrible taste in my mouth for two days that I haven’t had before or since.)

I’ve got my 8th dose of Mounjaro on Monday night and I have been feeling sick since the very first one.
I’m losing weight mainly because I feel too ill to eat anything!

Yellowsubmarine55 · 06/06/2025 22:08

I was terribly poorly with my first but the second one was much better. Eat plainer food day before and day of jab, even day 2, don't eat too much and keep up the water.

Fingers crossed for you!

Oh gosh.

2 litres per day of water. Will try and up it!

It feels like a lot but when you’re over weight you need more water than average and you won’t be getting the same amount of water as usual from food.
