Feeling like something is stuck in my throat…tips

Any tips or suggestions to help. Prescriber suggested omeprezole which I’ve been using and has probably helped a bit. But still just have an unpleasant feeling. Nothing is actually stuck, and the feeling goes away overnight and it’s fine in the morning for a while but comes back during the day. It only started happening just after my second injection. And I am due for my third this evening but I’m not sure I can face it. Prescribers said if it continues for another week to go to GP which obviously I will do. Just wondered if anyone else has had this and if anything has helped? Thanks

I had this in my second week aswell, it was heartburn.

Obviously I'm not a doctor so check with your own health professional but I went to boots pharmacy explained my symptoms and they said heartburn can present as a lump like feeling in the throat. I got some heartburn tablets took one a day and it went in about a week. It then settled until I went up to 5mg and came back a bit then but has now settled and I'm in my 4th week of 5mg now

Oh thank you. Nice to hear that it improved in a week. I jut need to be a bit more patient. I’m pretty sure that is what it is but I’ve been taking the tablets for 3 days and only a small improvement. I will persevere but I might give myself a slightly lower dose of Mounjaro this week as I’m finding the suppression on 2.5g more than enough.

This is 100% reflux/heartburn. I suffered from it for a long time (although, weirdly, not whilst on MJ) and it feels exactly like something stuck in your throat. Horrid. Over the counter meds worked for me when I had it.

Thanks everyone. The feeling is improving slowly. I’ve delayed a day with my second dose and will drop it down a bit in the hope of it settling.
