I kept turning until it went to 1, but now I can’t see any fluid at all?

What do you mean you can’t see any fluids? When you push the plunger up?

Ineffable23 · 26/05/2025 22:34

Check the instructions on your specific medication, but generally twisting to one should release a single full dose. You should be able to see a plunger coming down the syringe. By the time the syringe is finished the plunger will be at the needle end, but for the first few injections it will be part way along, moving about a centimetre towards the needle end each time.

Did it turn to 1, stop and then the plunger move up?! Or is there nothing left of the fluid at all?

MrsMiagi · 26/05/2025 22:36

Now it's at 1 you inject and press until it goes down to zero

alcoholnightmare · 26/05/2025 22:37

Ok @BlazenWeightsthank you. I didn’t push it in. All done now. Thank you xx

It doesn’t look like anything has been injected? The plunger is still at the top like it is before a first dose.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 26/05/2025 22:37

You haven't injected anything yet.
The pen is still full.

Put the needle into your tummy or thigh and depress the plunger. Then wait for ten seconds and remove the pen.

doodleschnoodle · 26/05/2025 22:37

Ah that looks better now.

alcoholnightmare · 26/05/2025 22:38

You're not! We all have to get through the first injection.

Pepperama · 26/05/2025 22:44

don’t feel bad, I did that the first week, injected absolutely nothing! And I only realised a week later - guess what, I actually lost quite a bit of weight that week and kept telling everyone how much less appetite I had.

alcoholnightmare · 26/05/2025 22:47

@Pepperamathats really made me laugh!

Sorry op this made me laugh, what did you think would happen? Like it's automated or something?

Haha, god knows! The worst part of this is…. Ten years ago I was training to be a student nurse! Injections not allowed however.

Bless you, that is exactly the sort of thing I'd do!
