Been on MJ for 7 months. Side effects now happening

I’ve been on MJ since September last year, all ok, I’m a very slow loser and have lost 2.5 stone in that time. I try to eat healthily, no starving myself or silly diets. I’ve been lucky regarding side effects just felt a bit sicky now and again and headaches. But these past two weeks it’s awful. I’m waking with nausea and then vomiting all morning (medical miracle for those suggesting pregnancy). Headaches all day and generally feeling bloody awful. Thought it might be a bug but it doesn’t feel like illness.

has anyone else experienced similar and it’s gone away? I’m wondering if my MJ journey is over. I’m now in an overweight BMI category so wouldn’t be able to re order as it’s under 30 if I stop.

Maybe you are overeating.

I only get symptoms if I overeat.

I also have to fast for a minimum of 12 hours and finish eating by 6pm most days. Sometimes the nausea comes if I am backed up with digestion and a bit constipated.

I would agree with the above? Perhaps the healthier habits from earlier on are subconsciously slipping?
I have only been on MJ for 6 weeks but am learning that what I eat affects the side effects. (most viscous heartburn so far was raspberries, bizarrely!)

Yes, I have to be careful what I eat. Baked beans, full fat cheese and sausages (even low fat ones) are no longer my friends sadly 😕

Weirdly I can eat things others say trigger side effects. Fine with spicy stuff for example. (thankfully!)

What dose are you taking?

Incognitoburrito88 · 21/05/2025 16:33

have you increased your dose? If not, I think a sudden onset of morning headache and vomiting is worth seeking medical attention for.

I’m 7 months in and and also struggling a bit with side effects. A big part if it is that I’m eating more rich foods. I’m trying to maintain rather then lose now, so am having a few treats with the extra calories. Also, I’m fatigued. It’s tiring! I’ve dropped my dose slightly (I have spent most of my time between 2.5 and 5mg) but I do now feel hungrier. After half term I shall switch my injection day to Monday, so then I can eat a bit more over the weekend and enjoy the suppression midweek.
