Suppliers who don't need videos

I was using Mounjaro until January and stopped due to finances.
I've put some of the weight back on and I hadn't reached my goal weight either so I'm now BMI of 29.8. Medexpress nor Pillsorted (previous ordered with) will prescribed it as say I'm not over BMI 30. It's literally just under!
They want a video showing scales for proof so I can't lie.
Anyone out there who don't require the proof?

I got my pen from Asda who wanted a picture with my feet on the scales and then some full length pictures but no video. This was two months ago now though and I know rules are changing - worth trying them though.. also have you weighed right after your evening meal after two pints of water?? I weigh about 4 lb more in the evening than I do first thing in the morning - I wouldn’t have got my prescription with my morning weight but qualified with my evening one!!

Fatmumslim01 · 13/05/2025 18:58

Have you tried oushk? I haven't used them myself but I have heard they prescribe under 30 if you have proof you are already on MJ eg a previous prescription.

Mumconnect · 13/05/2025 19:36

Simple online pharmacy round up so 29.5 upwards is fine. They also do pictures instead of videos. I don't agree with lying, you're eligible with them at your current BMI anyway.

Burnserns · 13/05/2025 19:37

I don't agree with lying either but in your case I think it is a poor show that ME and pillsorted won't help. They know you were above a BMI over 30.

NeedForSpeed · 13/05/2025 19:41

If you can prove your previous prescriptions you should be able to approach most suppliers.

I'm with Medicine Marketplace, I'm not under 30 BMI though, but I did a video call with them.

DH is now under 30 and is tapering off it, he's currently with Zava and they are prescribing to him with a BMI of 25. He did photos I believe.

Check on www.monj.co.uk for prices etc to switch supplier.

Usually the rule is after 12 weeks they have to treat you as a new customer. The only exception is the maintenance pharmacies where they let you go it alone for up to 12 months but they have your starting BMI as evidence.

Medexpress are just trying to get people processed as quickly as possible, they don't bother to look into people like OP because it takes too long, they'd rather quickly say no then say yes to the next 5 people. I don't know about pillsorted. I'm still salty with them because they never actually sent my order after a week.

The maintenance pharmacies are better but they need a history with you.

29.8 is barely under 30. Are you weighing yourself first thing in the morning? I was doing this and thought I didn't qualify but then realised I was easily over 30 if I weighed myself later in the day after eating and drinking.

mydaughterisademon · 14/05/2025 07:06

oushk only wanted a photo, my bmi was under, I lied and it still got approved!

You lied?

SilenceInside · 14/05/2025 07:43

@mydaughterisademon was this recently? They’ve moved to video consults for new customers I believe.

It was literally last week!

I've managed to get prescribed by them today so thanks!
Although I didn't realise it would happen so quickly and despite me trying to contact them, it's also been shipped and I won't be in tomorrow to get package as I'm away tonight with work until Friday!
I've asked DPS to deliver to garage and I'm hoping it will stay cold enough 🥶

Surely you can just hold something heavy then take a picture of the scales? Seems like a non problem.

It was videos that were the issue as per title, not photos.
With a video you can't hold something heavy....

I switched to Oushk about 3 weeks ago. No video, no photo of scales just past prescriptions, full length photo and ID.

DryDays · 19/06/2025 19:48

@Mumconnectwhat do you mean by maintenence pharmacies. I have switched round a lot due to using codes and havr almost met my target weight, BMI is under 30. I am terrified they will.stop it and all of the money and effort will have been in vain. I have sent proof of my last prescription every time I swapped pharmacies if that is any use.

Who are you with DryDays? Some expect you to stop one you reach a certain weight or after a certain period (eg I think Morrisons says they will only supply for 2 years IIRC).

I am now with Oushk as I am getting close to a normal BMI (currently 25.6) and they are maintenance-friendly.

TootieFrooties · 19/06/2025 21:26

I just changed to Asda, after a delivery debacle, yesterday and it was three photos. They were through a link and there was a countdown. I had to do my full body on three times because I kept automatically breathing in!
