Im in my first week of Mounjaro 2.5mg, and have had no symptoms 🙂 or loss of appetite yet. Thinking is this normal, or will it kick in later on on a higher dose.

I keep reading of people having symptoms or appetite loss from day one.

I have 5st to loose if that's got anything to do with it.

Yes this is normal. This is an introductory dose. People who respond to it strongly are lucky and not the norm.

Very common. I barely noticed it until the 2nd week and then it only lasted 1.5 weeks and the rest I got through by tracking food and eating in a calorie deficit. I was prediabetic when I started so needed higher doses due to naturally low insulin levels, this also is common with underactive thyroid and pcos and other metabolic conditions. Even when I had strong suppression on the other doses it only lasted 5-8 weeks. Currently on 12.5mg 2nd week in and 7 months on bmi 26.4. Stay patient, this is a marathon not a race and contrary to everything on social media, normal losses are 1-2lbs a week.

That's interesting to know. I'm type 2 and have an under active thyroid, so would make sense. Thank you.

When it does kick in and after a while, it will make a big difference as it also reduces inflammation and stabilises blood sugars and lowers blood pressure. Its done wonders for me and I would never have got to bmi 26.4 from 32.4 without it especially at 43, age also plays a factor and womens hormones unfortunately!

I have literally just written the same post! I am 5 days in after my first 2.5mg injection and have felt absolutely nothing! I also have 5 stone to lose and since every other diet has failed I’m desperate for this to work! I’m so disappointed, I’m just relying on willpower to try and stick to a calorie deficit and I am HUNGRY 😔
