I was taking my 2nd jab of mounjaro tonight and when I took the needle out I noticed a small amount of liquid there. When I checked the pen it wasn't quite on 0 so I reinserted the needle and held it down for 5 seconds and then it was on 0. Has this happened to anyone else? Slightly panicking that the bit of liquid that didnt go in is going to impact on this week's progress, I lost 7lb in this last week and was made up!

It’s really common and nothing to worry about. It doesn’t mean you haven’t got the full dose.

You are unlikely to lose such a large amount on your second week, though.

Sounds like you have already ensured you got the whole dose

Its common, the tiny bit of liquid on skin is from priming and the pen cap is stiff especially on newer pens so often some resistance on pressing down.
I'm sure it will work fine though everyone has a higher loss on week one due to loss of excess water retention as mounjaro reduces inflammation so you're next week won't be as high anyway.

There's no rush to lose weight. It's ok to lose 1-2lb a week overall. It'll give you less side effects and less loose skin.

Remember 1-2 lb a week is 26-52lb a year. It's loads.

It's like with having kids, the days are long but the years are short. This is the last time I ever want to lose weight so I want to do it properly, not quickly.

If you encounter a problem again, take a breath and think it through; you shouldn't reinsert the needle as there is a greater risk of infection.

I believe that in the instructions guide, reinserted the needle is exactly what it tells you to do

I was just going to say this as it does say if it's not completely on 0 to put back in and press again.

Thanks guys, I know it won't be as much next week unfortunately I've been on this roller coaster a few times before trying to lose weight
