Mounjaro Asda- first pen May 2025

Hello all, I’ve just placed my first Mounjaro order with Asda after a lot of indecisiveness!
went with Asda so that I can pick up from pharmacy on way home from work. Sent the photos off this afternoon (and if that wasn’t a good incentive, I don’t know what is!).

I’m nervous, not sure why!? Anyone else ready to start? Just started?

I think that I will get a message from the online doctors and worried about being declined due to history of bulimia but I couldn’t leave that out if they may contact my GP. Was anyone else in the same boat?

Not sure if you have seen it already, there is a May starters thread on the board where you'll find others starting around the same time as you. There is usually one each month.

My first one is coming from Asda tomorrow. I’m going to look for the May starters thread.

I’m really excited but just so worried that I’ll get side effects that mean I can’t continue with it. I need it so much.

@LittleNoosh Most people don't get severe side effects only minor ones that are manageable.

Of course you might be one of the unluckly ones, but the odds are in your favour you won't be. Good luck.

When you say you need it so much, if that means you have a lot of weight to lose have a look at the >5st and >10st threads too where those that have the challenges of more weight and longer journeys lose hang out together and always welcome newbies.

I can’t think how much I have to lose as I’ll get overwhelmed. I’m just taking it a day at a time if it goes well. Every step in the right direction is a victory.

I've sent off my details, blood test, weight etc with shemed today. Quite nervous about it all but also looking forward to it (if my bloods and everything mean I'm fine to have it)
