Anyone taking even less than 1.25mg due to bad side effects?

Looking for some advice really.

I have a lot of weight to lose. I've lost a stone so this is working!

2.5mg was great until week 3 and all of a sudden, 10 days of horrific diarrhoea and vomitting. I gave myself a week off MJ and took 1.25mg on Friday. All good.

Until Monday morning. The diarrhoea and vomitting returned. Whole of yesterday I felt awful. I slept between vomitting episodes. Had today off work (which is unheard of for me).

So far today, apart from a girgly tummy, I haven't been sick or had the runs.

I'm worried about my reaction to the drug. But at the same time, if you'd told me 2 months ago I'd lose a stone in a month I'd have jumped at the chance!

Has anyone had similar reactions? If it's one day a week, I can cope by timing injections. But the last bout lasted 10 days! Luckily it was during the Easter holidays (I teach).

Do I carry on? Smaller dose again? I feel like for the first time in years, I can see myself back at a smaller size and ready to move on with my life (divorced 10 years and haven't dated. DC are now teenagers, and I feel life is going too fast). But I can't live with V&D daily 🤷‍♀️. Any tips?

Sounds rough. It is not something I have experienced. I guess the obvious questions are -

What are you eating? - have you tried eating very basic low fat, not spicy, food / small portions (before and after the injection) and then slowly introducing more food to see if it is they type of food you are eating causing the issue? Maybe try to see if you tolerate protein shakes only post jab, then introduce food slowly?

Have you spoke to your provider and asked for antiemetics and antidiarrhoeals to be prescribed to get you through the side effects?

10 days of these side effects could be a severe intolerance to the medication something you should not push through alone, but discuss with your provider.

Perhaps try Wegovy instead of Mounjaro to see if you are more tolerant to it?

Thank you for replying.

The 10 days of D&V was a few weeks ago. Yesterday was 3rd day after a half dose and wham, it started again. But I've been ok today 🤞. I've got heartburn, but so far, no vomiting or diarrhoea.

I've not eaten anything I would class as greasy or spicy. Ive not eaten much at all tbh! I've massively increased my liquid consumption today. I'm hoping to try and keep this up.

I guess I've got to see how the next few days settles. I'd be happier with less suppression and less chance of the side effects to be honest! The weight loss is fab. But I could do less of it so quickly if it meant I avoided the negative stuff.
