I know it’s been done to death but I’ve only just given it some thought for myself now. I don’t know much about it apart from all the risks that people talk about.

WeightCan it be used as a kick start? Could I use it for a couple of months only?

I know you may say the weight will pile back on but that’s a separate thing.

Why people would want to use this drug if they have such a small amount to lose I dont know. It is not a miracle without side effects.

Because I've been fighting against that small amount for my entire life. Every day. Every hour. I don't think people who question it understand how exhausting it is. And now I feel like normal people do - it's finally doable to 'just' eat less.

@SchoolDilemma17 No. It. Won't.

And once again, a bit louder for those at back. It won't just pile back on.

It will if you go back to old habits but that's the same with any diet.

I do understand more than people think. I am only 5ft 1in and have ranged from 8 stone to over 16 stone.

I have also suffered with bulimia many years ago so also understand what it is like to suffer with that.

But I do worry about potential side effects, some that can be life threatening. So thats why for me I would worry about going on it when in the grand scheme of things a stone/stone and a half is not as dangerous as potential side effects.

So if you have had an eating disorder you should understand how "diets" don't work?
You should understand how people obsess over food and weight etc

Down to individual risk assessment. Paracetamol has potentially life threatening side effects, but most people are happy to reach for it for moderate pain or fever that would pass on its own. I was OK with the risk considering the benefits.
