Is there any benefit to either morning or night have you found?
Im either starting my first dose tonight or tomorrow morning and wondered if one is better than the other?

I do it in the morning because I am terrified of having a reaction to new meds so I always start them in the morning.

CatsorDogsrule · 29/04/2025 18:24

I know many people advocate taking at night, so that they might sleep through any early side effects.

Personally, I took before midday just in case I had a bad reaction and could more easily access medical help.

I atill take in the daytime, but no real reason for it as have had no bad reaction or side effects.

TheChosenTwo · 29/04/2025 18:25

I always do mine at night, initially to sleep through any adverse side effects.
But now it’s just part of my Saturday night routine (wild!).

I have always taken mine in the evening (other than Christmas Day and the day I had dental surgery when I took it the morning after!). It just worked out the best time and is now a habit.

I also don’t like how it messes up my Shotsy graph if I move days/times😂

Random question @IReallyNeedThisToWork but on shotsy can you go back in time? Id like to track my progress but I'm 6 weeks in already. Can I set it to plot starting from 6 weeks ago?

I can answer this. Yes , you can! I had to go back about 4 months and was able to input all of my shots that I had recorded on a spreadsheet.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 29/04/2025 20:35

@Fatmumslim01 yes you can. Just add in shots and weights you’ve already done

I did mornings originally because if there was any allergic type response it seemed safer & also the drug doesn't peak in your system for a few hours so then any side effects should be overnight leaving me with my day.

i've only done an evening jag once (on return from holiday) and it made no difference what so ever so I'm just sticking to morning from habit & so if I ever forget then I've more chance of remembering on the same day rather than the next day!

shrinkingthiswinter · 29/04/2025 22:42

I do it whenever. Has been late evening, early morning, middle of day, different time zones… no difference at all.

Some things do matter - what I eat makes a big difference to how I feel on MJ. But I haven’t seen any effects from timing of injection.

PurpleCoo · 30/04/2025 07:03

I do mine after lunch on my first NWD. I don't want to do it before doing body pump and an hour's swim, I eat then inject before the cleaner arrives, as don't want to be doing it with chaos in the house, as the dogs follow her around/greet her excitedly etc. First NWD is in case I get any side effects, so there are 3 days before working week starts again

StayingAnonForThis · 30/04/2025 08:56

I usually do mine mid morning. No idea why!

MyScaredCat · 30/04/2025 14:05

I went with 8am this morning. Was convinced I would do it last night, but whoever said about day time being better in case medical help was needed made sense to me.
started now so let’s see what happens
