Hair loss woes

I've been on MJ for a year, have lost 4.5 stone and feel a million dollars except....my hair, it's shite!
Brittle, thin, wispy, and I have some loss around my hairline.
I knew this would be a side effect, I just want to get my hair back to being a bit healthier, before perimenopause hits me!!

So ....has anyone any recommendations? What should I be taking/using? I've heard biotin is useless (tried it but had no effect). Have seen that pumpkin seed oil advertised online, any good?
Considering Hair + me but worried about minioxidyl side effects (mainly racing heart which is something I get a bit of anyway due to low level anxiety).

My hair has never been that great but losing weight has just murdered it, actually feel like getting ot all chopped off at this point!!

That's good to know! Do you take the tablets or use the topical drops?

Just bumping this @notnormandid you find you shed more for the first month? It’s really putting me off taking it when I read that might happen. Also will it all fall out again once I stop taking it?

I had a lot of hair loss after Mounjaro and a friend recommended this hair serum to me: https://rhutehair.com/products/serum

It's a bit on the more expensive side, however is working wonders for me even only after 2 weeks of using it! My hair fall has reduced massively.

DENSITY & REPAIR

rhute Density & Repair hair serum has 16 active ingredients to reduce shedding, boost density & support the scalp barrier, with stem cells, peptides & caffeine.

Yes mine is growing back now really well. Hair dresser commented on it, which was really nice.
i don’t remember more in the first month- i remember being freaked out by the general amount every month, then i started seeing gaps in my scalp.
I wasn’t losing any more than i have before on weight watchers- just 1-2 pounds a week- I wasn’t one of these super losers by any stretch. And when I’ve been on ww before my hair didn’t fall out- I would deffo have noticed as I am very sensitive to hair issues and I generally spend a lot on it. X

The hair and me tablets are really good- would deffo reccomend.

I have thinning hair and was v worried about taking MJ, but it hasn't got worse. I have read that the thinning is to do with fast weight loss rather than the drug, so dunno if that makes a difference?

I bought hair and me to try as it's generally crap, because I have high BP it has to be topical which has far fewer side effects so probably fine for you OP.

I'm considering hair and me but it is expensive.

I started following Sofia Hair Health on insta with exactly the same problem.
The things that have stopped my shedding, dramatically, are nightly use of The Ordinary multi peptide hair serum. Washing every two days, much more than before. I use an anti-dandruff shampoo with 2% ketaconazole two hair wash days and then the third one I use the elvive growth booster shampoo, then start again with the ketaconazole. I also use the elvive growth booster serum after every hair wash.
The elvive is much more cost effective if you go onto Boots online and you can buy all three bits in a box for £20 as opposed to just the serum for £17.
Then I use pumpkin oil and saw palmetto supplements daily.
Im now losing one or two hairs in the shower rather than handfuls!
