MJ not working because of cold/throat infection

I'm on week 10 and my second week of 7.5mg. So far 7.5mg has meany high suppression, being full very quickly for a long time etc buy the last few days the effects of MJ seems to have gone. I have a throat infection and wonder whether anyone else has experienced MJ not working when they have a cold/infection/are ill?

I have a cold at the moment, worsened by severe jet lag, and for the first time in months could eat a horse today (& have eaten too many chocolate biscuits MIL left in the house after 🐕 sitting).

I am recovering from being ill with a cold/throat type illness. I was fine while the cold was 'brewing', but I got really hungry when it was taking a hold leading up to my worst days. Once the cold had peaked appetite was back to how it usually is on MJ. At it's worst I ate two bagels for supper and was completely craving carbs. I wasn't craving things like cake/sweets etc, literally plain bagels, so figured it was my body telling me I needed energy to fight the illness off. I had to cancel a gym class and spent a whole day at home ill.

I think you need to reframe what 'not working' means. Are you expecting total suppression? Increased appetite when ill and your body needs fuel to fight infection, or feeling hungry after significant exercise is normal. However, just wanting to eat chocolate and rubbish because you are ill and feel sorry for yourself wouldn't be (from a bio perspective I mean).

Thanks both.
@PurpleCoo I think it's been more my body needing fuel- I haven't wanted to comfort eat rubbish, but definitely haven't been as full and have been hungrier between meals. Guess it's just the normal response to the body fighting an infection but I'm not used to feeling like it at the moment!

Needing fuel makes sense. It sounds as though we have had similar experiences. I ended going over my calorie allowance by a couple of 100 calories on one day so it wasn't the end of the world.

Now I am better, I seem to full quite quickly and much less hunger then even before I was ill
