Mirtazapine and Mounjaro?

I did it. I finally ordered my first dose of Mounjaro today!

I'm a bit anxious about side effects and worrying about how I'm going to afford to keep taking it, but I have a lot of weight to lose and I've been trying for a long time and not getting very far so it's time to admit I need help.

I was wondering if anyone is taking Mirtazapine and Mounjaro?
Does the mounjaro help with the increased appetite caused by the mirtazapine?

I know everyone is affected differently and the only way to know for sure is to try it. I'm just wondering if anyone is already taking them and has any experience to share. I'm concerned that the mirtazapine being an appetite stimulant will cancel out the mounjaro and I'll get no suppression.

As you say everyone is different but I’ve been on mirtazapine for years and Mounjaro has worked great for me. The suppression started pretty quickly too

That's good to hear and gives me hope, thank you for replying!

I’ve been on MJ for the past month (mirtazipine for 5 years) and the suppression has been great on 2.5mg, I still have a little food noise but I’m able to make sensible choices for meals and portion size.
I’m not aiming to cut out the food noise completely in the hope it will be easier to sustain in the long run, so ordered my 2nd 2.5pen this week!
I haven’t found an increase in anxiety, actually feeling happier than I was before!
I have atleast 5+ stone to lose so also have a lot to lose!
good luck with it, I was super anxious about side effects too but luckily haven’t really had any x

Thank you!
Your plan to not suppress completely is very sensible, good luck to you too!
