Hello!
I started mounjaro last Friday and weighed myself today and I’ve lost 4lb
I’m just wondering how much everyone lost in their first week? 🙂

There will be an April starters thread on the board and you can compare with other people at the same stage as you. It’s very motivating.

I lost 7.9lbs in week one but had eaten badly the day before I started so some of that was just digestion!

Hello,

I'm seriously considering Mounjaro, can one of you “Superstars” inform me where you obtained it from (safely) I have to buy as my Dr refused me;’also will private supplies dry up due to NHS trying to curb supply?.

Would be so grateful for any advice including side effects.

Thanks in Advance.

Monj.co.uk contains a list of safe registered providers and prices. The key thing is to make sure whoever you buy from is GPhC registered.

watch out for those that are subscription based so you know how they operate

NHS and private supply are separate.

Have all taking Mounjaro experienced severe side effects? Do they diminish within a few weeks?.
Which foods are to be avoided?

Is anyone on here using a “Maintenance” dose &
if so are you managing to keep the lost weight off?.
Thanks in advance

India4 · 18/04/2025 16:03

Well done.

@India4 to answer your questions...

Have all taking Mounjaro experienced severe side effects? No, of course all of those people taking Mounjaro who post here have not had severe side effects! That would be quite alarming if it were the case. About 1 in 10 people taking Mounjaro get mild to moderate side effects, usually gastric, temporary and treatable.

Do they diminish within a few weeks? Gastric systems usually go within a few days. It isn't normal to have difficult side effects for weeks and weeks without addressing them. You could reduce your dose, change what and how you eat, use OTC treatments etc.

Which foods are to be avoided? It's not like Orlistat where you have to avoid fatty foods for fear of unpleasant side effects. But most people find they naturally want to eat a lower carb, higher protein diet that includes lots of veg and fruit. Eating lots of processed carbs, fatty foods and sugar might lead to gastric upset of various types.

Is anyone on here using a “Maintenance” dose & if so are you managing to keep the lost weight off? I'm not at the maintenance stage yet, but there is a thread about that in this section which you can probably find, where you can read how people who are at that stage are getting on.

You can’t compare to someone else. Everyone is different with varied metabolism and hormones that will affect weight loss.

All codes are reported here to prevent the boards filling up with them, no need to take it so personally, I have pointed you in the direction of where you can share them.

SilenceInside · 18/04/2025 16:53

@Sophiaxx posts about discount codes will likely be reported by most people who use these boards frequently.
