MedExpress pen delays?

I ordered my next pen from MedExpress on 8 April but due to “small challenges at their new site” they are experiencing delays currently. Still no sign or update other than this despite messaging them each day My payment was processed then. I am away now for a short while and won’t be able to take my next dose as I’ve run out. Should have ordered when I could but for my last two pens they arrived the next day. This is my third pen on 2.5ml and just curious if anyone else is experiencing delays? Thanks!

If you don’t already you could use the remaining liquid in your pen after 4 doses as an extra dose, but you’d need to buy syringes to extract it. Don’t know if that’s worth considering in order to avoid missing a week.

I emailed medexpress as I was thinking of switching to them this month and they said it's a 5 day dispatch time at the moment, so I'm sticking with my current pharmacy for now

Got mine today was on 'waiting despatch' ages. Definitely slower than usual. I'm on 15mg have been with med express since I started.

They sent emails out about Easter postage so I'm wondering if they underestimated how many would reorder. It said order by the 11th for before Easter so it met that iyswim. Post itself was not delayed or anything

I ordered a 10mg from them yesterday, Royal mail have it and will deliver tomorrow. It was a new higher dose so had to go through review. I guess it depends what does they have in stock

Thanks all. I should have ordered when I could but thought a week in hand was plenty of time from past experience. I threw away my first pen but did keep my second one and there’s a little bit left so maybe I’ll use it as a part dose to keep me going. I have spare needles as MedExpress sent 6 with each pen so have a few spare. If it doesn’t arrive by mid next week I’ll cancel the order and try another supplier I think. Just wanted to keep the momentum going - 20lbs down after 7 jabs - 8th was last Saturday so weigh in due next one but can’t til I’m back home!

I didn’t get an email about potential delays ahead of Easter but would have thought ordering last Tuesday 8th would still be fine. I did think about changing to 5mg as I could probably do that if that had better stock levels - nervous to do though as I did have an upset tum a couple of times and as 2.5 is working well thought I’d stick to it!

Have you had an update? My med express account says it was dispatched on Sunday 13th and i have a Royal Mail tracking reference but the Royal Mail app says it hasn’t received it yet. Soo disappointed ☹️

@ymemanresu nothing - really frustrated. I did click on the Trustpilot link on their website last night - didn’t think to look before - and there are many bad recent reviews for not sending orders for quite some time. Didn’t see those when I posted. Think I might have to try another provider for now and get a refund. Unsure how to get a copy of my prescription just to get it processed quickly as I’m away. Usually, they have great reviews, but something’s happened to cause so many orders not to be despatched.

Ive always had my pen a day or 2 after ordering but im 11 weeks in now . I personally believe they've been inundated with new orders and can't keep up with the demand . Just with all the codes I see everywhere and new customers saying they're waiting weeks . After my next pen finishes I'm jumping ship to a provider that's good with maintenance. Well done on your loss so far .

Thank you @ExplodingCarrots- I suspect the same. So many MedExpress discount codes and guess lots now joining as demand is just huge. Ditto - I may well jump ship. Ah thank you - I’ve struggled all my life with my weight and wish I’d started sooner. So far so good!

@ymemanresu - I have had a variation on your email over the past week but miraculously in the last couple of hours I’ve had notification of despatch! I’ll believe it when I see it is with RM. I had just emailed them to ask them to cancel my order and let me have my prescription. Odd it has now been “despatched” - maybe coincidence - we shall see!

Just to warn you, the extra needles they sent won’t help you take out the fifth dose. You need insulin syringes for that - you pull it out from the red seal and then inject it.

The extra needles are just in case you find one doesn’t work / gets blocked when you’re priming it. The pen itself will only release four doses not five.

And you’ll almost certainly have the 0.6ml left over to make a full dose if you do extract - mine at the weekend had 7.5ml and I’ve heard of people getting more.

Also having issues with ME now! Ordered second pen on Friday and it is saying awaiting dispatch since 11th. Got in contact with ME and apparently they can't find my account details and asking for extra information which was given in the query form, so obviously using delay tactics. So annoyed. Just put in an order with another company and will hopefully get a refund.

Sorry to hear you’re having the same issue @TheCaloricDecline. I seem to have my order with RM now, due for delivery on Saturday, so I may just wait then til I’m home on Monday if it turns up 🤞🏻. DH at home so he can confirm receipt and put in the fridge.

who are RM? I really wish i’d researched providers first but was so excited once i actually made the decision to do this and just went with the first recommendations i saw

Sorry @ymemanresu I mean Royal Mail who will deliver. I think MedExpress had fantastic reviews until recently as I guess demand exceeded what they could supply. Hopefully it will all be okay soon. I will order my next pen asap I’m able to I think.
