How many doses are left in this pen?

Left is open pen, right is new pen. I’m away for 10 days and need to take a dose today and a dose while away. Obviously easier to take an open pen as moving around a lot.

If there are 2 doses left there’s no issue. I’ll use the open pen today and take it with me.

I could start the new pen today and take the other with me and be sure I’d have an open dose to travel with.

Thoughts please.

I'd say one 'proper' dose and the bonus dose?

There are raised marker lines along the side of the glass vial to indicate how many doses. Without being able to see those lines, I would say that you have done 3 doses from that pen - you can check by seeing if the pen lines up with third raised marker along from the base.

Agree, one official dose and the bonus dose which you would need an insulin needle to extract

Position of plunger after each dose

If you're going to use the bonus dose you'll need to take a 1ml syringe and needle with you.

I can only see 3 lines on them.

Oh, my mistake, apologies. You are right there are only three lines, the first dose position doesn't have a line marker. So the first line marker is actually where the plunger would be after 2 normal doses.

Your pen still only has one normal dose, and the leftover liquid remaining, though.
