Talk me through the golden dose please!

I ordered syringes (not from anazon, a medical link posted here)

They're 1ml, 8mm needles.

I'm a bit scared of the needle being bigger to be honest. Hoping to get 0.9ml so a stepping stone between 2.5 and 5.

So I insert the needle into the red seal, draw off 1ml, prime to 0.9, then inject as usual. Do I put the needle to whole way in?

I have done this for the first time today, I thought a dose was 0.6 though not 0.9. I have the 8mm syringe as I couldn’t find 4mm, it was better than I expected.

Insert the needle through the red bung, turn the pen upright with the syringe underneath and draw off what is left. It might drag and you may have to pull several times but you’ll get there (air exchange etc!)

It won’t be 1ml. I’ve had 0.8ml every time. Prime a drop or two and inject. If you’re worried about the length of the needle, you can go in at a slight angle but it’s really is fine I promise! I actually prefer a syringe as I find the pens clunky to use!!!

I never get as much efficacy with the scrag end of the pen

Doesn’t the pen expire after 4 weeks though? Can someone send a link to the syringes they’re using please?

@Minuethippoofficially the pen last 30 days from first use. You can get 5 doses in 30 days - days 0,7,14,21,28

I take 6 doses (6th dose on day 35, so 5 days over) of 3.75mg from my 5mg pen for the last 7 pens I have been on and never noticed a difference between any doses either in effect or weight loss.

Wonder what the difference is - it is not necessary but I store my used pen in the fridge, do you refrigerate too?

Alternatively, perhaps it is a placebo effect. Either I believe it is the exact same liquid even if 5 days over so will work and I think it does, or you believe it is the “scrag end” so convince yourself it isn’t as good.

Ah thanks for clarifying. So instead of using and chucking pen on the 21th day after 4th use, you wait 7 days and inject again on day 28th

@Minuethippo yep! Thats why it’s a FIFTH dose not a ‘magic’ or ‘golden’ one! 😁
@1SillySossij maybe because you’re ready to move up at the end of the dosage? I have had exactly the same efficacy on all 9 of my fifth does.
