Has anyone taken a break and then restarted mounjaro?

Just coming to the end of my 3rd pen 7.5mg. Unfortunately I just don’t have the money to buy my next one and I will have to wait a week or two at least before being able to get another pen. Sadly nobody has used my code so I can’t get it cheaper either.

So my question is has anyone taken a week or two off? Did it make side effects worse? Did you gain weight in the time off?

Could you change supplier to get a cheaper price? There are several that are just always cheap without needing referral codes, or you could get a new customer discount with a new supplier.

Are you using the remaining medication after 4 doses to do a 5th dose?

i can’t afford it at all just now. Yes just used the ‘bonus’ 5th dose from my pen.

Are you going to go back in at 7.5mg? I think there’s some number of weeks where you’re then supposed to start at 2.5 again as you’ll have no Mounjaro left in your system by then.

Ideally. I don’t want to go back to 2.5 again if I can’t continue taking avoid it

I had a supply issue with my last pen and the Boots prescriber (GP or PA) said that there’s a two-week window within which you have to inject from your last injection.

Yes I started in September last year and by December I was really struggling with side effects and about to go on a big holiday. I had lost 1.8 stone at this point.
I started back on it this month, and my weight had increased by 3lbs. Usually in that time period I would have put it all back on and possibly more.

I clicked your thread because I know I won't be able to afford it every month and I am trying to find out if it is worth doing if I will need to take breaks

just to let you know I ordered today. I guess you probably don't get your referral payment until my order has been approved, the email said that it will take 4-5 days (payday was early because of bank holidays)

Two weeks now since I took any mounjaro. Definitely feeling the effects less. Had a small binge yesterday and whilst it wasn’t as bad as it would used to have been it’s left me feeling pretty 😭 Still nowhere near having enough funds to restart sadly.

Even when the provider offers a discount they are still making a worthwhile profit, and I suggest you ask them for a one(off discount this month. I have done this with success with Numans.

I've just had two weeks break and back on 5mg with no changes at all.

Well that’s me well and truly screwed Med express are banning sharing codes on social media and revoking codes of those who have shared.
definitely no chance of me remaining on the medication now. Devastated doesn’t come close. This looked to be my one chance to get to a healthy weight. I can’t afford nearly £200 every 4 weeks.

I doubt they would do that tbh. Why would they? Big pharmaceutical is all about profit!
