BMI of 30 what happens

This is a long way off but what happens when you get to BMI 30. Ive heard some suppliers are doing maintenance plans so will I have to switch to one of those pharmacies when I get to BMI 30?

I don't understand how they can still prescribe it though when you can only get it if your BMI is over 30?

Nothing happens at BMI 30. It is just the current requirement to qualify for the drug.

BMI 30 is obese, all providers I know of prescribe until reaching a healthy BMI - that’s BMI 25. And currently a lot are offering support for maintenance and lower BMI as well (BMI 23, 22, 21).

Hope this helps.

The BMI to start taking it is 30 (or 27 in certain circs), but the whole point of the medication is to get you to a healthy weight, so well under 25. Pharmacies will continue to prescribe till you get to a healthy weight. What exactly that is depends on the decisions made by each pharmacy. There won’t be any that cut you off the moment you reach 25. Some pharmacies have made the clinical decision to keep prescribing for people who are maintaining their healthy weight and not continuing to lose any more.
