Hospital referral when on private prescription of WLI

Hi,

I'm probably sweating the small stuff!

Firstly my doctors surgery know I'm on the injections as I made a point of bringing it up during a medication review and when they inquired how I managed to enter the pathway of diabetes remission (been taken of metformin) so I've not hidden it. I see Wegovy listed on the medical medication record in the patient access app.

Can I ask has anyone had reason to be sent up hospital whilst on these injections privately when a referral is done, then had use of the injections left off?

I just ask as they are trying to send me to gynae dept based on a private (paid for) scan diagnosis so it feels odd they wouldn't include the injection medication.

Interested to hear from others going near a hospital when paying for these injections. I know I've mentioned the injections before at the point of a pre-op but I just feel odd leaving it till an appointment with a specialist and going into a hospital which doesn't support use of, initial fear they will blame the injections.

The GP has also left out that I tried the coil in past for this gynae problem 🙁

They usually ask about medication in your appointment if required, so you would just need to tell them then.

I think any medication you are on and what you have tried in the past is for you to discuss at your appointment.

Thank you, accept I'm way overthinking this, anything could go on between then and now.
