Plateaud Losses After Covid?

DelightfullySoSo · 08/04/2025 20:53

I was happily losing each week on MJ 2.5mg and last week realised I had the Covid (again..) Eating as before, exercising as before after a couple of days of feeling Covid-Rubbishy yet an unexpected 0.6lb loss. This is only week 6's weigh in and suppression has been good, kept to my calories each day.. surely it's too soon for a plateau?? Can I blame Covid?

It wasn't Covid if you only felt rubbish for a couple of days.

Don't forget we retain water, lose water, our hormones govern our weight as well.

I think it my be too early to think plateau-ing.

It's still a loss. It's in the right direction.

I put on 1.5lbs around that week for no reason other than this is what bodies sometimes do and it isn’t that unusual. Keep going and look at the general trend rather than on a weekly basis.

A plateau is 4 weeks at the same weight. You are still losing.

Weight loss can fluctuate a lot anyway but after you've been sick your body is probably still recovering. Just give it time to settle down.
