Weird thing in Mounjaro pen

There’s a little black thing inside my mounjaro pen. It looks solid and smooth (not mould or something organic I think) but not what I expected to see. I’ve taken one dose from this pen previously and didn’t notice this then. Photo attached- has anyone noticed this in their MJ pen?

Thanks

Are you sure it's inside and not on the outside of the pen?

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/04/2025 20:36

Is it actually floating about?

WeAllHaveWings · 06/04/2025 20:36

If it is definitely on the inside I would email to your provider with your concerns. I would not inject anymore from it.

Yes, definitely not on the outside. It could be within the plastic as it doesn’t move at all when I flick the pen and looks pretty solid.

Yes, I’ve emailed and won’t take it unless they confirm it’s ok. A bit annoying as this is probably my final pen!

I wouldn’t use it ! I had an issue with broken pen was a bit of a faff as had to take to pharmacy for them to check pen then send it off to central office. They did refund the pen doses I missed. Had 3 remaining but as 1 was golden dose only got 2 refunded.

Could it be a manufacturing defect, embedded in the glass or plastic - and possibly of no consequence?

I think it must be, as it looks so smooth and stuck. Still not going to chance it!!
