MedExpress - damaged packaging and unsealed pen

Hi everyone, looking for some advice as I’m a nurse and not sure if I’m being over cautious, My mounjaro pen arrived last Monday with damaged packaging - the seal at both ends of the box had been broken and box was open. I thought it had just been squashed in transit, however when I opened the pen on Friday there was no seal on the end. I’m nervous to use it due to risk of compntamination but MedExpress have just said it will be ok, check for discolouration etc and use as normal. They said I can send a photo if worried, I’m not sure what good a photo would do really! Would you go ahead and use it, I don’t want to have to buy another one.

What do you mean by seal on the end of the pen? I have never seen a seal on the pen.

Boxes get squished in transit and the perforations break open easily.

there is no removable seal in the end of the pen, just the red seal the needle goes through

if the packaging appears intact I would not be concerned

Echoing what the others have said, there is no removable seal on the end of the pen, and the boxes can get squashed in transit.

It seems exceedingly unlikely that someone would have pierced the red rubber seal at the end of the pen and contaminated it either at the pharmacy or when in transit. Each time you inject, you wipe the red seal with an alcohol wipe in case of any contamination on the outside, so that wouldn’t worry me either.
