Hi all i went on mounjaro and lost about 2stone very slowly over 4/5months (have hypothyroidism and honestly it was the only thing that helped!) ive been off around 6 weeks or so and plan to start trying get pregnant end of next month.. but my food noise is back with a vengence?

what can i do to naturally to help with this whilst ttc?

I dont want to gain any weight back (i havent so far) but it was so easy whilst on mounjaro to not think of food? Any advice or natural remedies to help the noise?

Drink lots of water and eat a high protein diet. Track your food and work out your calorie maintenance (or deficit if you want to keep losing) and stick to it. If you're trying to conceive it might be best to avoid supplements like appetite suppressants in case they may affect fertility etc

If it’s any consolation morning sickness will stop the food noise! I’m also hypothyroid and honestly only ever felt well when pregnant (once the sickness had passed anyway) so hopefully it will be a bit of a reset for you.

Just try and remember how you were eating on mounjaro and try to stick to that. I'm trying to take lots of photos of my plate so I can remember that I'm absolutely fine with half my old portion sizes, maintaining 3 meals a day only and no snacks at all, etc. to make it a habit. I'm just not a person who eats between meals (I tell myself).

Lots of water. Drink a huge glass of water before each meal. Eat your vegetables first, then protein. Make sure you hit your protein and fibre goals every day - this includes protein for breakfast which will keep you fuller till lunch. Make your peace with eating the same thing every day if needed - tell yourself that you don't get your kicks from food anymore so get it somewhere else - what Louise Parker calls "pleasure pops". Watch out for wine.

I know it's so hard. If it was easy, we wouldn't have gained enough weight to have gone on mounjaro in the first place! Flowers

i dont drink so thats okay, its just so mentally taxing tracking everything but i guess i have to as i have no choice. im upping my protein and still finding im snacking so maybe i need to do more and defo more water i think! Thank you so much

@SnowflakeSmasher86unfortunately ive been pregnant 4 times (3 mc and 1 DS who is 4) and i have never been sick in any of the pregnancies, i always felt jealous of women who never gained a tonne of weight when pregnant !
