Do I have to up the dosage?

I’ve been on mounjaro since the beginning of January. I was on 2.5 mg for the first month but now I’m still on 5mg as I am losing a steady 2lb a week, very few side effects and it seems to be working. I ordered another 5mg pen and received an email basically saying, OK, just this once, you can have another 5mg pen but really you should be increasing the dosage for best effects. I don’t really want to, but nor do I want to change providers, mine is relatively inexpensive, comes the next day and I don’t have any issues with them. Has anyone else stuck on a low dosage?

I’ve stuck on 5mg since my first pen of 2.5mg, had five I think as I started in October. It was medexpress, they advise moving up but I didn’t!

I'd personally stay on the lowest effective dose. I have been on it a year and I only just went up to 15mg this month. I stayed on each dose until I felt I needed to go up, also because I'm sensitive to the side effects and got bad nausea with the early steps up.
You can always change provider.

I’ve stayed on 2.5mg for 5 months and lost over 3 stone. I don’t want to lose at a faster rate than I am and see no reason to increase my dose. I’ve had no negative side effects.

What provider are you using? MedExpress kept messaged me about increasing the dose initially but I just reordered at 2.5mg each time.

That’s ok then! I’m with Simple Online. I have lost nearly 3 stone but still have 5 to go. As long as I am losing steadily, I feel fine to carry on as I am!

2lb a week sounds like a sensible weight loss. Losing weight too fast increases the risk of having loose skin.

It's terrible they are pushing you to increase your dose. Other providers like Oushk and the Family Chemist won't pressure you like that. Time to shop around?
