My first injection- I don’t think I’ve done it right.

I got my fist pen yesterday, but it doesn’t look like I’ve had the whole dose. The plunger wouldn’t go in all the way.
Am I doing something wrong?

That's right I think. Next time the plunger goes down another 15mm and so on. The last dose is 15mm shy of the end. (Get some insulin needles to extract the last 'bonus' dose

looks ok (attached picture). It reaches the first line in the vial after the 2nd dose.

Thanks for your replies.
I was about to inject again when I thought I’d ask.
I’m glad I did!

Glad you thought twice - always double check if unsure before potentially injecting more than you should! You will be surprised how quickly you become a pro once you've done a couple of more doses.

I always check the position of the plunger against the lines on the vial before and after each injection to make sure it is doing as it should. After seeing it for 1 or 2 pens it becomes very clear where it should be.

It’s quite disconcerting injecting at first because it feels like nothing has happened. After 14 weeks I still sometimes wonder if I’ve done it right. But it works!
