Has this happened to anyone else? I was doing so well, I lost 3 stone in 4 months. I moved up to 12.5 a few weeks ago and suddenly things seem to have changed. I’m hungry all the time. It’s really hard work, but I’m just about managing to keep to about 1500 calories a day (MFP says I need to stay under 1750 for a 2lb a week loss). I’ve stayed the same for the last 2 weeks, and have lost a total of 2lbs in the last month. But that’s through sheer willpower. I still have 5/6 stone left to lose.

oh, and 12.5 and 15mg are now unavailable with my provider so I may need to go back down to 10mg. 😳

You can change provider, rather than order a dosage that isn't suitable.

I think plateaus and changing levels of appetite suppression are fairly typical, and it may yet change again. It does get harder to lose the weight as your overall weight lowers - your daily calorie needs will reduce, so it's harder to create the same larger deficits that you could at the start.

It could be worth looking at a few different TDEE calculators to see if they agree with MFP. 1750 calories per day to be losing 2 pounds per week seems quite high.

Thanks for your reply Silence. I just checked with another TDEE calculator and my TDEE is 2188 so MFP is probably about right. And I’ve been religiously counting calories from the start and my weight loss has been 2-3lbs average per week so it’s about right.

Hoping you’re right about the changing levels of appetite, that’s why I posted, in the hope others would say this happened but they still managed to continue to lose. It’s just I still have so much to lose. I’m not giving up, I’m just impatient!

yes I know I can change providers, but it’s such a ballache, I’ve changed so many times before. Finally settled with My medicines marketplace who are reliable and cheap, so wanted to avoid swapping again if I could.

It’s sounds as if you’ve hit a plateau @Cherubneddy. I’ve seen it happen to a few people & it usually lasts a few weeks & then you will start losing again. Some advice I’ve seen is to not count calories for one day & eat what you want, it’s supposed to shock your body into losing weight again. I did the fast 800 diet a few years ago & it happened to me then I didn’t lose a lb for a few weeks & then all of a sudden it’s started dropping off again. Stick at it 😄
