So does this go in the fridge then?

Hi everyone. I received my first Mounjaro delivery today, but am a bit unclear on storage.
Is it only when I start using the pen that it must be put in the fridge?

Read the instruction leaflet in the box and the section on used and unused pen storage.

That's the sharps bin where the used needles go, the actual pen needs to be in the fridge

Goes in the fridge until you use it, then can stay in or out. Please read your instructions. Don’t put the sharps bin in there though 😂

That's the sharps bin it's for used needles, you don't need to put it in the fridge. Also don't lock the lid after each use as you won't be able to reopen it again. Secure lock is after it's full.

What can I say, I’m a bloody idiot 🤣 I thought the pen would be in the box rather than the bag of wool … which of course was insulating it

Not sure if I would have ever injected it the pen arrived in boxes marked as hazardous waste! Must have been a relief to find the real pen! 🤣

If you open the pen box there are two patient leaflets in there that are both worth reading.
