Day 4 (I think) and hunger returned

Hi all
I started my first dose (2.5) of MJ on Fri so is today (Tues) day 4 I think?

Had great suppression over the weekend and slightly yesterday but today the hunger and food noise has returned 😔 is this normal?

I know it's my first dose but Ive heard so many stories of great suppression I thought it would have lasted a few more days. Does it last longer as you take more doses?

Yes it’s normal. It takes 5 days for half of the original dose to leave your system, so the levels are now falling for you. Yes the levels build as you take the next dose as you aren’t starting from zero each time.

Is today day 4 or 5 then? I jabbed late Fri afternoon? So is Fri day 1 sat 2 sun 3 Mon 4 then today day 5. Or Fri day 0 which makes today day 4.

I count the day I inject as day one, but I suppose for working out the rise and fall of the levels of medication, it’s day 0. For you, Wednesday afternoon would be 5 days from when you injected. The medication peaks in your system between 8 and 72 hours, so you are definitely on the way down, if that makes sense.

@Fatmumslim01

You are around about the red cross. The concentration in your body will increase each week until week 4 then level off (unless you decide to increase your dose). But also your body will get used to it too.

Here are a couple of links to plotters to let you play/see what it looks like.

Definitely hunger returning now, basically had a pre MJ type of food day today 😔. Feels like a long wait until Fri afternoon for my next jab!

Your body might be reacting to a lack of calories and nutrients over the last few days. Feed it - reasonably, healthily, protein, avoid too many carbs/sugars.

Calorie cycle - less calories in high suppression days and more in lower suppression days but keep to your calorie deficit for the week (use an app to track).

Make sure you are working up to drinking 2L of water a day so you are well hydrated and hunger is not actually thirst.

Be patient and adjust your expectations. This is absolutely normal - we have all been there!

How much are you eating? You shouldn’t be using the medication to kill off your hunger so that you can stick to an unrealistic deficit. If you have been prescribed this, you are obese. Your body will naturally burn quite a lot of calories. If you’re having 900 calories or something then you are feeling hunger which is totally normal and will be cured by eating. Apologies if you are actually eating a proper amount but there are so many people who aren’t and will assume it’s not working because they feel a twinge of hunger after eating sub-1000 cals.

Hi, yes I'm definitely obsese my BMI is 39.8

I haven't been officially tracking calories but keeping a rough guide and I'd say I'm on around 1400 a day.

Hopefully as I go through the weeks (only on week 1 this week) the effects will build up
