Moving to Wegovy from Mounjaro

Hi everyone,

I previously took Mounjaro for 5 weeks and lost 22lb which was brilliant but the side effects were awful which meant I had to stop.

I’m considering starting Wegovy instead with the hope that will work better for me in terms of side effects. Has anyone done similar?

I probably only have another half a stone to lose. I know it’ll likely be slower with Wegovy but interested to hear from others.

Moved from mj to Wegovy.

Slow weight loss on both. Seen body changes away from the scales more recently with WG. The only time I lost fast and heavy was at the very start when daily injections were a thing.

I’ve started now purchasing the medication over the counter face to face and the pharmacist urged caution on going up in dose for Wegovy, I’ve also realised it is Ozempic by another name. I’ve been really silly and got Liraglutide previously and semiglutide mixed up. The chemist also holds more stock of mj and urged the injection site needs to change every single week.

This weekend was the 8th dose on WG and I think I have lost a grand total all of 2.5lb and for the past 3 weeks stayed the same but oddly suppression is good and I find it a benefit with alcohol reduction personally. Side effects seem minimal touch wood it continues. No eggy burps like I got on mj. Maybe I’m doing this wrong time of life.

I am worried with the media keep harping on the weight goes back on in that it makes me question if that can happen, what about diabetics, is it in effect masking and creating good readings that can also reverse so very easily in future.
