Mounjaro and 2 week holiday abroad

Just wondered what others did? We have one booked in 6 weeks time and I'm due to start mj next week.

The pens need to be kept in the fridge, so wondered for people who have taken them away with them, what they did?

P.s we'll be 9hrs from house to hotel (if don't experience delays)

once open can be kept at room temperature for 21 days no need to refrigerate.

I went on a holiday in January and took my dose the day before I went then missed a week because we were in a very hot country with no guaranteed access to a fridge.

If you're going somewhere where the indoor temperature will be under 30C then the pen doesn't need to be refrigerated as long as it's open.

Ah OK! I didn't realise that. I thought it needed to be kept at less than 5 degrees at all times.

So it needs to be kept in the fridge until you open it. After you open it, it doesn't?

So during travel, could just get a little cooler bag with an ice-pack and it will be fine, as long as it's a pen that has already been open?

You don't even need a cool bag if you're staying under 30 degrees. I've seen people keep the kit together in an glasses case that they've got lying around

Hot country but a TUI hotel with a mini bar. We've been before - there's a little fridge in the room.

My DH is also going to start with me, so we can share a pen. We'll just need to take one dose each mid week of the holiday.

You'll be fine with that set up. Use a little insulin cooler if you're worried. Have a fab time. Although I started mine after a final AI splurge in a hot country. Wanted to make sure I made the most of the prepaid bar!
