5mg - how long did it take to work or cause side effects?

I injected my first 5mg dose three hours ago. So far feeling no different. No side effects but also no suppression. I had pretty much no suppression with 2.5mg so was really hoping for a change with 5mg. Am I being too impatient? How long did other people take to start feeling the effects? Interested to hear particularly from those for who 2.5mg was not a therapeutic dose.

Yes it's a serious question, from what I can see online Mounjaro can start to work immediately and can reach peak levels from 8 hours, so I didn't feel it was unreasonable to ask about other's experiences. Also you don't need to be rude.

It takes between 8 and 72 hours for the medication to peak in your system. After 3 hours it’s still going to be at a much lower level than the maximum it will reach. So patience is needed.

Yes from 8hrs and up to 3 days, its only been 3hrs. For me it takes 2-3 days for each dose on every pen. Did you feel any changes after 2.5mg and how long did that take? Its not only about suppression, the drug also slows your stomach emptying down so you feel fuller quicker, have you felt this? Please do something to take your mind off mj.

Mine started to work the next day but has almost worn off this week, next dose Tuesday so it’s willpower until then! Good luck

You might start feeling something later this evening but most likely tomorrow morning.

Me too...think I'm going to do full 5mg on Tuesday as have done 3.75mg last couple of weeks

Thanks, yes I have felt fuller for longer and have managed to lose 8lbs on 2.5mg, which I know is good. But like I say very little suppression, still craving sugar etc so a little disappointed. Obviously I know 2.5mg sometimes does very little so am looking forward to see what 5mg brings!

I’ve got 3 more weeks of 2.5 to take and it cost me £139.00 so I’m not going up a dose or giving in yet. Think I’ve lost a little bit
