Moving Mounjaro providers, any recommendations?

Hi all, just looking for a quick bit of advice! I have been using Shemed for the past 3 weeks and have lost 5KG which I’m SO happy with!

They overall have been great but I have been experiencing some mild side effects on the 2.5mg. I filled out my prescription refill questionnaire a few days ago and have been moved straight up to 5mg which I’m not really happy with as I don’t feel ready! Upon contacting them, they’ve said unless my side effects are severe I’m not able to remain on 2.5mg. I’m FUMING! How can I not have any input on what I’m injecting into my own body?!

Anyway, I’ve cancelled my plan with them as really wasn’t happy with that and am now shopping around for new providers. I have 1 dose left in my original pen so will need another 2.5mg pen ready for my 5th jab on Monday 31st March. I’m now below the 30 required BMI so will need to go with one that will take my previous prescription as proof of my eligibility.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations please? I was paying £159 through Shemed for the 2.5mg.

Many thanks in advance ☺️

I found Ashcroft very good. I've just moved to Oushk because of their excellent maintenance policies but if Ashcroft offered similar I'd switch back

I thought you had to stay with Shemed for 12 months?

That’s only on the clinical trial program which ended 2nd Feb I think. I was on the standard programme which can be cancelled with 21 days notice from next invoice!

Oooh I was looking at Oushk! Have you had your first pen from them yet? Do you think they would be more open to your feedback on doses than my provider was?

They delivered what I asked for really fast despite it being my first order with them so all good so far. Ashcroft is a bit cheaper until maintenance but I wanted to switch as I want a supplier who'll support me on mj long term and Oushk is much clearer on this than them

Oushk are also really responsive to email even at weekends so you can always drop them a line via contact form on website to check what they say about dosage

I have sent them an email, thanks for your help. I agree about their maintenance plans, they look great!

Most pharmacies will allow you to choose your dose (as long as not skipping any obviously!). Oushk are a very responsive pharmacy and will accept you with a photo of your previous prescription (label on box). I think they now have a very short video consultation system too.

I’ve done Superdrug, Medexpress and IQ Doctor, all similar service levels, all good.

For some reason my link to the commonly used upto date and accurate mounjaro comparison site was deleted by MNHQ, no idea why though

Bibulous · 22/03/2025 21:47

I was with Oxford Online Pharmacy but have just moved to Medicine Marketplace as I've gone up to 7.5mg. Both of those have been good for me.

Yetanotherusername2000 · 22/03/2025 23:01

Which ones don’t need photos? I’m finding that hard to do

DarkForces · 22/03/2025 23:11

@Yetanotherusername2000 I think all registered suppliers require photos now as rules have been tightened thanks to people lying to get injections. They're also having to introduce weight verification checks.

I did the photos by setting the timer on my phone😆 selfie camera and propping it on the settee. Atrocious angle and not at all flattering but very adequate for explaining why they should prescribe 😆

Finallydoingit24 · 23/03/2025 07:56

Probably too late now but assuming the price was the same I’d have taken the 5mg pen and just used half doses and made the pen last a bit longer (I know, 30 days, yadeyadeya but still). I hope you find a good new provider.

I use Simple Pharmacy. I find them pretty good

Missmaria123 · 23/03/2025 11:08

I’ve used MedExpress and Ashcroft. Just placed an order for oushk and they’ve been pretty good and fast

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 23/03/2025 12:45

@kissmyfatass I think I’d be looking at them very seriously if I wasn’t happy where I am and about to hit a healthy bmi as I read nothing but good reports and love the fact that they price match!

Finallydoingit24 · 23/03/2025 13:54

I use Simple too and they are great

TootieFrooties · 23/03/2025 14:07

I looked at this website https://monj.co.uk/ and I used chemist4U at first but their prices shot up and so I’ve just switched to Zava after reading reviews on MN.

I use med express.
When i haven't gone up a dose they send an email to ask why but don't stop you ordering.
