Week 1 - do you get used to drinking this much water?

Just finished week. Lost 1lb. Feel like this was done by huge willpower and like every other diet (that i can't stick to cos it's sooo much effort for 1lb)

However, trying to stay positive and think it's only 1 week and a loss is a loss.

Everyone seems to be saying drink 2 - 3 ltrs of water per day.

I have upped my liquid but am probably only doing 2 at most. I cant stop weeing! I feel like i darent drink water before i go to work cos ill need a wee on the commute. Im scared to drink before i go out anywhere eg: walk/shops cos i can't stop needing a wee.

Does your body get used to it?

I'm not a big drinker so 2litres is a big challenge.
(I normally have 3 or 4 brews a day and a glass of water)

4 brews and a glass of water is about 1.6 litres of liquid, so you're already drinking the perfect amount.

Yes, you do get used to it. Keep going and your body will adjust so you don't need to wee every 5 mins.

It settles down a bit, but yes, you get used to it quite quickly.

You will get used to it, aim for 3 litres of water- wee should be clear/ pale yellow too

I don't drink any water at all but I drink about 6 large mugs (pint ones) of herbal tea so I think that's ok 😂

There is no scientific evidence that I know of that shows it is necessary to drink 2-3 litres of water a day. The NHS advice is 2 - 2.5 litres of fluid a day. Most of this comes from drinks, but these do not have to be water. Lower-fat milk and sugar-free drinks, including tea and coffee, all count. Fluid is also provided by many foods, such as soups and stews.
One of the potential side effects of MJ is constipation, and hydration is important in avoiding or ameliorating this, but I am not aware of any studies that show a specific volume of water for this purpose.

Kindly, start drinking 3 litres per day and you’ll feel amazing. Your skin will glow, your mood lifted and digestion aided. Try it for a week and come back to let us know how great you look and feel for doing it.

Thanks Nutmuncher. I don't think I will be trying that as my mood is fine, my digestion also, skin is normal and I don't fancy spending all day next to the loo feeling as though I am carrying around a swimming pool in my stomach!

You don’t need to drink ridiculous arbitrary amounts of water. Keep hydrated enough so your pee is pale but don’t feel you have to drink 3/4 litres of water. I don’t.

Kindly, if you had said you made a change to do this and this is how you felt it would be a heck of a lot less patronising!
