The trepidation of moving up a dose

Hey everyone
I've taken 2.5 for 6 weeks and have lost 1st 3lbs at today's weigh-in. Snack noise has definitely kicked in so I've taken 5mg jab tonight. 🤞🤞🤞 for no, or minor, side effects. I don't like looking in mirrors but did look in the bathroom mirror and I can see the vague beginnings of a jawline 🤣

Best of luck!
I am feeling the same. After 4 weeks on 2.5 and 5kgs lost it is time to move up…..

let us know how you get on.

I bit the bullet last night and did my first 5mg, after 4 weeks of 2.5 and a 3 mg bonus dose.
I had no nasty side effects on 2.5 and lost 12 lbs in 5 weeks but definitely food noise was increasing again by 4th week so I knew i needed to go up but worried about increasing suppression too much and getting side effects.
Tummy a little upset today, want to take the dog out for a long walk but also worried about needing to go suddenly, really dont want to have to use her poo bags for me 😂
Good luck to you both with your increase, hopefully it'll be a smooth transition for us all!

Terrible heartburn and not-so-faint nausea. I am trying to make sure I eat though and so far everything is staying down!

I really want to continue the journey 😁😁

I went up to 5mg after 5 weeks on 2.5mg. My weight loss stalled on the last two weeks and I didn't want to delay further. I took my first 5mg dose on Friday night and apart from feeling cold I've had no effects. Good luck OP, keep us posted

Worst day yet. Been sick 8 times. I don't think I can carry on 😭

And another 3 times. I'm done, I can't work like this 😭 😭

Oh no, that sounds rough. Is there any chance its a bug?
You could always drop back down to a lower dose, when you feel better, which I hope is soon 🤞 xx

I don't think it's a bug, but I feel better today. God it was awful, felt like my stomach was going to come through my mouth.

I'll drop down to 2.5 and see how I get on.

Hi all - again!
Planning to inject tonight. Definitely don't want to take 5 but don't want to drop to 2.5 either. Was thinking of 3/3.5. would that be around 40 clicks? It's a 5 pen.
TIA 🙏

FunnyCrabDance · 21/03/2025 18:53

45 clicks would give you 3.75, 36 clicks would be 3.
(Saw a helpful formula for calculating on here , so its desired dose divided by strength of pen, multipled by 60 = clicks .)
Good luck!

@FunnyCrabDance thanks so much!! 🤗

Same reaction as you though I was fine for 7 weeks then vomiting kicked in week 8,9,10 I’ve had it for 24 hours post jab. Currently on 3.75 & still horrible reaction. I hope you’re ok it’s just the worst sensation isn’t it?

idrinkandiknowthings · 22/03/2025 10:53

@Beachcomber74 absolutely horrendous. I injected last night but dropped to 3 🙏Hope your reaction passes soon!
