ADHD and Mounjaro / GLP-1 drugs

I’m on day 9 of moujarno and have had zero interest in coffee when I used to drink - with apparently zero effect - two full four person coffee pots of esspress for breakfast (the equivalent of about eight espressos) and then another couple of pots through the day. I am unmedicated ADHD and it is very common to 'self medicate' with coffee (which makes me calmer rather than jittery).

.i thought I'd google this Apparently moujarno - or more specifically GLP-1 helps modulate the dopamine receptors - and poor dopamine pathways are what defines adhd - and so an unintended by product of this drug is that that this sort of stimulant craving caused by poor dopamine receptivity has gone. mounarno is being investigated now as a possible treatment for ADHD because of its effects on dopamine, impulse control, blood sugar and executive function.
And sure enough, before I read this or even thought s out this, I got up with apparent ease and did two hours work before 8.30am which is really unheard of!
I find this amazing. I don’t take normal ADHD meds as I don’t like them - they effect feels alien in my brain. But this feels very different. I still feel like me.

This is really interesting, thank you. I've never had a diagnosis but I suspect I am ADHD too and also have an unhealthy relationship with coffee! I do manage to switch to decaf in the afternoon.
Is MJ also having the desired affect for your weight loss?

I've only been on it nine days and it has significantly dulled my appetite. I expect the effect will lessen in the next two weeks. I've lost 4 and a half pounds. It is so weird how it makes you want to eat healthy food!

I'm on week 5 , I have ADHD and whilst the first 2 weeks I was very tired since then I've been more productive, I'm really pleased. I've stayed on 2.5 mg as I'm easily losing 2 or 3 lb a week at this dose and as I have 6 stone to lose I'm in this for the long haul so not keen to rush up doses.

This is really weird but I've actually given up smoking on mounjaro almost by accident after smoking for 30 years and I'm not drinking gallons of coffee per day like before. I'm more productive too but I find once I'm awake I don't go back to sleep easily which does piss me off if I'm honest as I work late nights and like a slight lie in.
