Good morning,

I wondered if anyone could answer a few questions pls. About to take my first injection today. The instructions say a used pen can be left at room temperature. It's not very clear. Does that mean after the first dose? Or after all 4?!

Also, can immodium be used if I suffer suffer with diarrhea? I'm so worried about being in an office with poss side effects.

Thank you in advance

the pen can be left out of the fridge once opened for 30 days. Don't leave a new pen you are not ready to start using out of the fridge.

I have used Imodium once when on Mounjaro when I was ill.

Thank you so much for your reply!

Don't suppose you know why you can leave it out of fridge after?! My brain is just not allowing me to understand the logic 🙃

I think because it only lasts 30 days out of the fridge, whether opened or unopened. Once you start it, you will finish with it in 30 days so it can be taken out of the fridge. If you took an unopened one out, it would expire after 30 days so if you hadn’t used it by then, you’d need to chuck it.

Once you've used it, the seal has been penetrated and there is a very small chance of contamination, and also it's been exposed to the air. Each time you use it, you repeat that process. Regardless of whether it's in the fridge or not, the medication may start to break down and so the manufacturers advise using within 30 days.

Ahh! OK that makes sense. Also great as I was worrying about how to store it when I travel some weekends.

Thank you
