Where was your jab site for best surpression?

I've heard good things about jabbing the tummy, so this is the only site I have used, alternating each side, however might be missing a trick. Has anyone experimented with different jab sites? What has worked better or not for you? Coincidentally or not?
Manufacturers have said that the lowest percentage of side effects happen with injection to the thigh.

Thigh.

I inject in the thigh as I have fewer side effects than when I injected in the tummy.

I have had less appetite suppression this week and could not work out why! I had been injecting in my thigh for about 5 weeks, then this week, I jabbed my stomach. Definitely going back to my thighs this week! Mystery solved.

TrinityWaves · 10/03/2025 10:48

Thigh/belly the same, arm less effective.
The only side effect is slight constipation and this is the same whatever the site.

I did read the study they did on injection sites and the most effective site but also stronger side effects was belly, then arm, then thigh but we're all different. The side effects they looked at were nausea/vomiting, so I can't comment on this.

I get more side effects using the belly or arm fat. It's more consistent and steady using my thighs

I have been using alternate thighs for the last 5 months and have had good results, have lost 2 stone. I thought I'd try injecting in my stomach the last one I did,4 days ago, because I was getting nasty bruises at the injection sites on my thighs. I was fine for the first 4 days, but today I have felt really hungry! I'm on Wegovy,by the way.

This might help..... I have been injecting into my stomach but getting pretty bad indigestion and heartburn. Going to try thigh this week and see how I go.

I've had a bad time with stomach - both times I felt very nauseous for a few days after, so I've stuck with alternating thighs!

UsernameShmusername2024 · 10/03/2025 20:06

I'm only on week 4 and have injected into my stomach for all of them so far. I might try thigh but was confused about where exactly - I've seen 'front of thigh' but to me when I'm sitting down this doesn't seem to have as much fat as the sides of my thighs - where exactly do people who use their thighs inject?! Thanks

TheChosenTwo · 10/03/2025 20:12

I’ve only ever done my stomach but never really had any notable side effects other than being freezing which since I jabbed with my first 10mg last week I’ve just realised I haven’t felt at all!
I also wonder about thigh jabbing, mine feels close to the bone on the top - I don’t feel like the needle is long enough to get to it but underneath is where the fat is on mine.

I sit down and inject the fat that squishes out at the side, alternating leg each week

I think I may have jabbed too far up this morning. I jabbed right at the top of my stomach but not sure if was too high or not. Do you think it would matter or not be effective ?

Redlightbulb · 16/03/2025 21:27

For me stomach has best suppression but also the worst side effects.

It got to the point where I was starting to get some gastroperesis for the first 30 hours or so after injecting causing an increase in sulphur burps and vomiting.
I switched to thigh a couple of months ago and the side effects are much better. Suppression is still fairly good. I have tried the stomach since and the bad side effects came back so I wasn’t imagining it.
Haven’t tried arm yet.

Oceangrey · 16/03/2025 21:46

I alternate stomach and thigh and don't notice any difference.
