Diarrhoea, Sickness & Sulphur burps

Hi, I have been on the Mounjaro jab for 7 weeks now, I've had 2 episodes of sickness, diarrhoea & the dreaded sulphur burps. They last around 24/36 hrs & wipe me out like a really bad bug. The only link is that on both occasions I've let myself go hungry in the afternoon then eaten a medium size tea.
Has anyone else noticed patterns? And if so was it because you'd not eaten much that day? I can't find any other link to what could be causing this....

That sounds like H Pylori not the injection - I had that a few years ago, took a while to get diagnosed then had to have a cocktail of antibiotics to get rid of it

I'm having exactly that at the minute. I was fine for 4 months then had burps and diarrhoea come on very suddenly 2 weeks ago. Pretty sure it was food poisoning initially but instead of going in a few days it lasted over a week, and since then keeps coming back. I think it's a combination of slower transit, stress and not having time to exercise meaning the bacteria has had time to settle in.

I'm trying to eat small digestible meals and include keffir every day as it seems to help.

For life reasons can't do much about stress and exercise right now but going to restart C25K when this crunch is over as running always helps my digestion.

I had diarrhoea after half a meatball pizza for a few hours late on a night just before bedtime a month or so ago. Been on it 4 months then and no side effects do it was a surprise. I had half a chicken pizza one time and was fine so must've been the meatballs.
I have seen some affected by greasy fatty fried food, alcohol, red meat so could it be something you ate?

I only get symptoms when I don't eat, then eat big meals.

They do advise small healthy meals throughout the day, but I know that's not always easy. It really helps though.

I went up to 15mg this week and it's the first time I gave had side effects, so I consider myself lucky. Off to Boots today to get some Guardium as that works well for the burps.

Im dying today. For the first time in three months I went on a bender and ate a whole pizza. It was delicious. I was upset and emotional ate.
Today my stomach is tied in knots, incredibly painful, I have sulphur burps and farts and a banging headache. Never again!!!!!

My advice is to eat very very lightly for the first half of the week after the jab and then eat more substantially as it wears off but stick with light things. No greasy food or fatty food. Light things like baked potatoes and chicken sandwiches or salads. Try to get most of your calories in earlier in the day. You can buy digestive enzymes from Amazon and take these with each of your meals. If you have diarrhoea take some immodium before bed so it doesn’t get you up in the night. I’ve been in it since last May. I only started having to manage symptoms when I went up to 15mg but everyone is different and it does build up in your body

Probiotics really help with gastric side effects.

I have this when I'm incredibly stupid and drink wine on an empty stomach. Not much like 2 glasses? I eat a few hours later then bang get a horrendous headache and my stomach sets off. It's only been since mounjaro and would you believe it's happened 3 times now! Will I learn? Probably not
